How to Reduce LABOR PAIN Naturally
How to Reduce LABOR PAIN
I want to share with you my video on How to Reduce LABOR PAIN Naturally. You will be amazed at how your body naturally equips you with pain relief through birth hormone release..
That is, if you let your body!
Early interventions can interfere with the release of these natural hormones. Stress and anxiety also demotes.
I’m about to show you the process that CAN allow you to cope with the Pain of Labor Naturally.
Let’s start with the birth hormone Oxytocin. This is the love hormone.
Oxytocin is released when you:
1. Feel loved
2. Orgasm
3. Give birth (ideally!).
It’s a hormone that is naturally produced in the body and helps to induce labor.
How to Reduce LABOR PAIN Naturally is just one topic i cover in my PregActive Birth Preparation course.
Oxytocin
Oxytocin is important in labor as it signals the contractions of the uterus. It also increases the production of prostaglandins which move labor along and increase contractions even more.
Oxytocin is also responsible for the contraction of breast tissue to aid in lactation after childbirth.
So yes, it’s important and you want to help promote it’s release.
Ways to help promote the release of oxytocin:
1. Nipple stimulation
2. Sex
3. Cuddling and feeling good with your partner
4. Regular exercise
5. Relaxation techniques such as deep breathing and meditation
Listen to my PregActive Podcast ‘Natural Ways to Bring on Labor‘:
Endorphins
Endorphins are ‘feel good’ hormones that your body releases when it feels pain or stress. Endorphins are also released during pleasurable activities (exercise, eating, sex, massage).
You might actually have higher endorphins towards the end of your pregnancy and that can continue to steadily rise through labor.
Adrenaline
The ‘fight or flight’ response impacts the hormone cocktail that races through your body, and works against you when it comes to the optimal hormone cocktail for childbirth.
If you feel threatened or anxious in labor, adrenalin can be released which can actually slows the whole process down.
Keep Adrenalin low by:
1. Staying calm.
2. Being informed and prepared.
3. Feeling safe and confident with your birth setting and health care providers.
4. Feeling confident in YOU and your body’s ability to birth your baby.
5. Being with people who provide comforting support and positive words.
6. This is a lot of information I know, but believe me when I say trust in the power of the hormones. They can get you through this birth, and you’ve never experienced anything like it.
